New to African herbal traditions and not sure where to start?
You’ve probably heard of Bitter Kola, Kola Nut, Mucuna Pruriens, Fadogia, Kigelia etc. The African Herbs Every Man Should Know handbook is a complete guide to 101 African herbs (with 45 full herb profiles) traditionally used for men’s overall wellness. It covers traditional usage, preparation methods, and how much the science has caught up with traditional use.
And if you want to go deeper, the Ancient African Secrets of Warrior Strength book picks up where the first handbook leaves off. This book examines some of the most potent plants African wrestlers have trusted for generations for stamina and strength, and which herbs have the strongest evidence behind them.

MEET OUR FOUNDER, joanna
Welcome to Jostylin’s Apothecary. My name is Joanna. If you’ve landed here, it’s not by accident. Whether you’re looking for hair care, wellness, or something you can’t quite name yet — you came to the right place. Maybe you’re calling in something — clarity, healing, abundance, love, protection, a new chapter — who knows? What we do know is that your spirit guided you here. And I am very happy you came.
Here’s a little information about me: I’ve been working with botanicals for well over fifteen years. I source wild herbs from the tropics because that’s where the strongest plants grow. The tropics are not short of miracles. They’re short of people willing to go deep enough to find them. I went deep, looking for the oldest plant knowledge I could find — and built something around what I discovered. Every root, leaf, and oil I work with carries more than a scent or a remedy — it carries an intention, a way of speaking to the parts of us that logic can’t always reach. Nothing here was invented. Everything was remembered — sourced from traditions so old.
Nature is so exciting, and for me, this is more than a business; it’s an adventure that I hope you can join me on.
