The scientific name of Ambunu is Ceratotheca sesamoides. This plant is native to Africa and is known for its traditional use in hair care.

How to Use Ambunu Powder

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
    • Pour leaves into a bowl and pour hot water and leave for 5 minutes.
    • You can also add essential oils or other hair-friendly ingredients like aloe vera gel.
  2. Application:
    • Section your hair for easier application.
    • Apply the mixture to the length of your hair, avoiding the scalp to prevent buildup.
    • Focus on the mid-lengths and ends, where breakage is more likely to occur.
  3. Leave-In Treatment:
    • After applying, braid or twist your hair to keep the product in place if used as a conditioner.
    • Leave the mixture in for several hours or overnight. Some users prefer to leave it in for up to a week, reapplying as necessary to keep the hair moisturized.
  4. Rinse Out When Used As a Shampoo or Detangler:
    • If used as a detangler or shampoo, rinse your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water.
    • Follow up with a gentle shampoo and conditioner if needed.
